FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Architectural Visualization?

  • Architectural visualization is the process of creating digital representations of architectural designs. These visualizations range from simple sketches to complex, photorealistic 3D models, animations, and interactive experiences that allow clients, architects, developers, and other stakeholders to explore and understand a project before it is built.
  • The main goal of architectural visualization is to bring designs to life by providing an accurate, visually appealing representation of the proposed structure, including how it will look in its surroundings, how light and shadow will interact with the space, and how materials, finishes, and furnishings will contribute to the overall design.

How Architectural Visualization Benefits Different Real Estate Professionals

Architectural visualization serves as an essential tool for a wide range of real estate professionals, each with distinct needs and applications.

Below are the various ways it benefits different professionals in real estate:

  • 1. Architects: Communicating Design Intent and Refining Concepts

Better Client Communication: Architects use visualization to help clients understand complex designs, even if they have no architectural background. Detailed renders, floor plans, and animations provide a clear view of what the finished building will look like.

Design Refinement: By visualizing the project in 3D, architects can identify potential design flaws or issues with proportions and materials. This allows for early design adjustments before costly mistakes are made during construction.

  • 2. Real Estate Developers: Pre-Sales and Investment

Off-Plan Sales: Developers often need to market properties before construction begins, and architectural visualization allows them to show potential buyers or investors what the final product will look like. Photorealistic renders and virtual tours create excitement and drive early sales.

Investor Presentations: When pitching a project to investors or securing loans, developers can use visualizations to present a comprehensive view of the project’s potential. Realistic imagery helps convey the value and appeal of the development.

  • 3. Real Estate Agents: Marketing and Selling Properties

Property Listings: High-quality renders and virtual tours are powerful marketing tools. Agents can showcase properties in brochures, on websites, and through virtual showings, reaching a broader audience and generating more interest from buyers.

Virtual Staging: For properties that are still under construction or empty, virtual staging allows agents to show the potential of the space. Furniture, décor, and lighting can be added digitally to create a welcoming atmosphere, making it easier to sell homes without incurring the cost of physical staging.

  • 4. Interior Designers: Design Presentations and Client Approvals

Material and Layout Testing: Interior designers can experiment with different materials, color schemes, and furniture layouts in a digital environment. This helps them explore various design options without committing to costly materials or construction changes.

Client Proposals: Visualizations allow interior designers to present their concepts to clients with stunning realism. Clients can visualize how the space will look and feel before any work begins, which helps speed up the approval process and reduces the number of revisions.

  • 5. Contractors and Builders: Pre-Construction Planning and Coordination

Accurate Planning: Contractors and builders can use architectural visualizations to better understand the scope of the project. 3D models provide precise visual references for construction, ensuring that the project is built according to the architect’s vision.

Coordination with Subcontractors: Visualizations help ensure that all parties involved in construction, such as electricians, plumbers, and carpenters, are aligned with the design. This coordination reduces miscommunication and potential delays on-site.

  • 6. Urban Planners and Government Agencies: Public Consultation and Policy Approvals

Community Engagement: For large urban development projects, visualization helps in presenting the project to the community. It makes it easier for the public to understand how a development will affect the surrounding area, including views, traffic, and local amenities.

Policy and Planning Approvals: Urban planners can use architectural visualization to present designs for public infrastructure projects or zoning proposals. These visualizations often play a key role in obtaining approvals from government bodies and planning authorities.

  • 7. Marketing and Advertising Professionals: Real Estate and Product Campaigns

Property Advertising: Marketing teams leverage architectural renders, animations, and virtual tours to create compelling advertising campaigns. These visuals are used in brochures, websites, and social media to attract buyers and investors.

Brand Consistency: For luxury real estate or branded residential projects, high-quality renders ensure that all marketing materials maintain a consistent, polished look that reflects the project’s brand identity.

What information do you need to complete a render?

We don’t charge any extra cost for the type of inputs you give, but please make sure it has
  • Plan and elevation in some form like CAD, PDF, Sketch or Image. (CAD plans are preferable as they speed up the process.)
  • Colour, texture, material references and a reference to where the colors are to be applied, and Camera angle markup (if you chose custom in point of view section).
  • Landscaping details with reference images (if you have any specific requirements)
  • Any other preferences or additional inputs (like, site pictures, model files) that you share will increase the quality and or speed of the process.

What are the stages of the project, and how can I monitor them?

The way we proceed with the project is streamlined into multiple stages, where you can view and comment on the outputs at the end of every stage. The stages are listed as follows,
  • Not started

The project is waiting to be started by our team

  • Clay draft

Work has been started, and the output of this stage will be a clay model of the property, showing the structure, land layout, camera angle and landscape for you to review. You can advice any change in the camera angle or structure or landscape for us to work on.

  • Color draft

The desired changes will be made, and this revised version will display the colours, textures, and landscaping. You may request changes and updates to this document.

  • Final draft

A final color draft containing the previously requested adjustments will be shared to you. You may once again ask for modifications and updates to this draft.

  • Waiting for comments

This is the intermediate stage where we are waiting for your further inputs or comments on the draft, we shared to you earlier.

  • On hold

If for some reason, you request us to hold on the work, we move the project to this stage. We resume once we have your confirmation.

  • Hi resolution output

This is the stage whereby you have accepted that the final draft justifies all your necessary inputs and comments, and approve us to produce the high resolution output i.e. the original resolution of the output you requested.

  • Completion

Once we complete the high resolution outputs, the project’s status is updated to be completed. Our Render Manager updates you regularly on the projects stage. You can monitor them via dashboard. A project is deemed to be complete if it has completed all these stages. These stages reduce the need to revise any further. But still, if you need any more revision, we can do it for an additional cost.

What is the turnaround time for our projects?

It entirely depends upon the complexity of your project. Once you assign our project, our render manager will study your given inputs and update the ETA within few hours in your dashboard. To give you an idea, A basic level of project, say for example a single level residential building exterior render will take approximately 2 working days to complete the clay draft, and after your approval to the next stage, it will take 1 more working day to complete the color draft. Further revisions if you have any will consume its due time, or else we can deliver you the final rendered output image the next day.

Is there any discount for bulk project orders?

No, we operate on low margins, which enables us to offer you services for this highly competitive price.

How long do you store our images?

We keep your completed high-resolution files for one year

Can I have a copy of the working file?

No. We reserve the right to withhold the 3D model that our renderers have produced.

I have a project that doesn’t fit into your categories. What can I do?

Just send us a mail with your requirements, or assign as a custom job from your dashboard. We will reach out to you via call or email or from the comment thread to discuss how we can proceed.
