Visualizing the Future

How Architectural Renderings are Changing the Game

According to a survey conducted by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), 84% of home buyers want to see a 3D rendering or animation of the home before making a purchase. Architectural visualization is the process of creating visual representations of architectural designs, including both 2D and 3D renderings and animations. The process involves modelling, texturing, lighting, and rendering. This process can be done using a variety of software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3DS Max, V-ray, Corona, Unreal Engine and Lumion. The final image or animation is then modified and enhanced in post-production using software such as Adobe Photoshop for colour correction, atmospheric effects and final adjustments. This process allows architects and designers to effectively communicate their designs to clients and stakeholders and make informed decisions about a project. These visualizations can be used to showcase a building or development project to potential clients, investors, and the public, and can also be used as a tool for architects and designers to explore and refine their designs.
